St. James Anglican Church was packed on Saturday afternoon for their fundraiser in support of the Mom’s Baby Cupboard.
The pies and purses event gathered over 150 people, as $5,521.00 was raised for the program, which helps out young mother’s in the community.
Diane Garrett, the event organizer, says she’s thrilled with the turn out.
“It was so much more than we could of asked, or imagined,” she said. “To the people of Wallaceburg and area, all the workers, all the one’s who participated, all the donations… we cannot thank you enough, mom’s baby cupboard will continue to thrive because of support like this.”
Purses were filled with various gift certificates from businesses in the community and auctioned off at the event.

Aaron, thank you for the coverage. Your coverage here and by the radio station were also very much appreciated by St Jame’s Social Committee and we who are involved with Mom’s Baby Cupboard. As Dianne said many people made the event a resounding success!
