Police are seeking a suspect after a robbery early this morning in Chatham.
A man threatened an employee at the 7-11 on Richmond Street with a knife around 1:30 a.m.
The suspect took off with two bags of chips and a lighter.
The suspect then took off on foot, and could not be located by police.

The Chatham-Kent police are looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery in Chatham early this morning.
At about 1:30 a.m. a lone male wearing a black full ski mask entered a convenience store on Richmond Street and demanded a pack of cigarettes. The clerk asked the man to remove his mask and provide identification. The man stated he had a knife and threatened to injure the clerk if he didn’t give him the cigarettes. The clerk immediately activated a panic alarm and the man fled the store with two bags of chips and a Bic lighter. Police flooded the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5’10”-5’11”, tall, slender build, blue eyes, wearing a purple t-shirt with yellow writing, blue jeans and black sneakers with green laces.
