Busy Weekend in Dresden

Residents of Dresden are gearing up for a very exciting weekend.

And it all starts this evening with the Dresden Pet and Hobby Parade.

The lineup will marshal at 5PM behind Clark’s Home Hardware with the parade beginning at 6PM.

Chrystal Wills of McKellar Flowers in Dresden says the Legion continues the fun after the parade as well.

“It continues through downtown to Jackson park where they have free hot dogs, pony rides and some little carnival things for the kids to do until dusk,” said Wills.

And according to Wills, there is even a special theme for this year’s event.

“The theme for this year is comics and cartoons, so dress as your favourite character and dress your bike up,” said Wills.

And then on Saturday, the Legion is putting on their annual fishing derby for the kids.

That derby gets underway at 10AM and will go until 1PM.
