OLG Outlines “Gaming Zones” in a New Release
The Province’s gambling commission has outlined a list of 29 so called “gaming zones” across Ontario.
One of these zones includes a stretch of area encompassing Wallaceburg, Dresden, and Chatham.
OLG’s website says in this particular zone, there will only be one slots facility allowed with a maximum of 300 slot machines.
The move is part of the widespread changes that are taking place in Ontario’s gaming industry.
An OLG release says calls the gaming zones “geographic areas where regulated private-sector providers will be allowed to operate a single gaming facility, subject to approvals.”
A full list of all the gaming zones can be found here. The zone that includes Wallaceburg, Dresden and Chatham is “Zone SW6.”
