Update: Merlin woman killed in 401 crash

On the 16th of April, 2012 at 6:50 a.m. the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a two vehicle collision on the 401 Highway near the Mull Side Road.

Police investigation has revealed that a tractor-trailer travelling westbound on the 401 Highway, crossed the median and collided with an eastbound vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, Jennifer Mott, a 47 year old Merlin, Ontario woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The passenger of the car a 19 year old Blenheim, Ontario woman and the driver of the tractor-trailer a 29 year old Windsor, Ontario man were both transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Charges are pending further investigation

    Jenifer Mott – Mifflin was an executive with the Canadian Cancer Society in London, and music manager of Stephanie McIlroy . Jenifer was married to Jeff Mifflin of Merlin.
