The expected splash in the free agent market came one day late, but it brought Chatham’s Andy Fantuz a lot closer to home.

Fantuz, who had been with the Saskatchewan Roughriders since entering the CFL, signed a contract with the Hamilton Tiger Cats to return to Ontario.

Although terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed, it is rumoured that Fantuz will earn close to $200,000 per season with the Tiger Cats.
