Blenheim Youth Centre up for provincial award

The Blenheim Youth Centre has been nominated by the Ontario Trillium Foundation for a People’s Choice Award.

What is the People’s Choice Award?

The People’s Choice Award is the newest of eight Great Grants Awards presented to Ontario not-for-profit and charitable organizations. The People’s Choice Award will be presented to one of 18 organizations serving youth and will be selected by online voting February 13 -29

How were the People’s Choice Award nominees selected?

OTF volunteers took a break from reviewing and analyzing grant applications to nominate 18 youth organizations they thought were having tremendous impact in local communities. Online voting will ultimately decide which of these youth organizations is creating the biggest impact, initiating the greatest change or proving most innovative in serving Ontario youth.

The People’s Choice Award (‘PCA’) is an online voting contest to choose the top youth-focused initiative from among 18 nominees chosen by Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) community volunteers. The People’s Choice Award is given to the nominee chosen by the public in an online vote as having had substantial impact for youth aged 13 to 18. Online voting will take place February 13 – 29, 2012. The nominee with the most votes wins.

Why should I vote for the People’s Choice Award?

Vote because you, too, recognize the great impact your organization is having on youth in your community. Vote because you want the people in your local organization, and the youth they serve, to get something good.

Voting starts Monday February 13, 2012 at 12:00:01 a.m. (midnight) and ends on Wednesday February 29, 2012 at 11:59:59 p.m.

You can vote once per hour for each entry the BYC has (There is a video, pictures, and a write up). Go to each (be sure to click on each entry!) and vote once per hour!
