The Chatham-Kent Police Service continues to investigate a report of a missing person.

Brandon Sands, 25, of Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg, Ontario was reported missing on December 26, 2011. He was last seen on December 23, 2011 around 3:00 p.m.

He is described as being 6’ tall, 160 lbs, brown eyes, with half of his dark brown hair shaved bald and the other half cut very short. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, brown running shoes, and a white sweater.

As part of ongoing efforts to locate him, the Chatham-Kent Fire Department will join the investigation this afternoon to check the riverbanks of the Sydenham River. At this point there is nothing to suggest he will be located there, but given the proximity of his residence to the river, investigators would like to rule it out.

Anyone with information about this ongoing investigation asked to contact the Chatham-Kent Police Major Crime Unit at 519-436-6616. Anonymous callers may contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
