Lacrosse Expo Being Hosted Saturday in Wallaceburg

Before the Kraft Celebration Tour gets underway Saturday afternoon, visitors to Wallaceburg will have the opportunity to take part in a Lacrosse Expo on the back campus and tennis courts at Wallaceburg District Secondary School.

This expo is designed to give youth an opportunity to try lacrosse and parents a chance to see the game in action. At the old tennis courts, the location Wallaceburg will renovate with their $25,000 award from the Kraft Celebration Tour, players from the Toronto Rock will teach youth about Box Lacrosse, while on the field, players will learn about field lacrosse.

The Lacrosse Expo will run from 10am to 3pm with younger player (tyke, novice, peewee) getting their chance before lunch. At lunch, all players will receive a free Kraft Dinner luncheon, followed by older players taking the field after lunch (bantam and midget).

New players are asked to bring a helmet, mouthguard, cup, and gloves for the event. Sticks will be available.

Following the Lacrosse Expo, events for the Kraft Celebration Tour begin at 4pm sharp in Crothers Conservation Area.
