Dresden Cancer Fun Auction raises almost $16,000

The Dresden Cancer Fun Auction was held at the Dresden Arena on Saturday, with great success. As the group is still waiting for the donation totals to roll in from the Dresden Firemen, who held a breakfast over the weekend, the total amount raised for cancer research is approximately $15,615.

Chair Gord Hardy said this is about $2,000 more than last year.

Hardy added that they had a great turn out. with about 100 more people than last year with bidding cards as well.

Hardy said the group had raised well over $100,000 for cancer research, since starting the event 21 years ago.
