Chatham-Kent Public Library (CKPL) is pleased to offer a six-part creative writing workshop hosted by Bill Sloan Jr. at the Chatham Branch beginning January 4th at 6:30 pm. Mr. Sloan, who is from Bothwell, has written The Life & Times of Rory McClooster.

The Life & Times of Rory McClooster is the first in a series of books about seventeen-year-old Rory growing up on a Christmas tree farm in 1971. Drawing from his own experiences, Bill Sloan brings his own experiences into the character.

Join Bill Sloan Jr. as he provides budding authors with a chance to participate in some informal lectures, in class and take home exercises, with plenty of feedback from participants.
This free six-week workshop will be held on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 9:15 p.m. beginning January 4th.

Workshops will be held January 4, 11 and 18th as well as February 1, 8 and 15th in the Meeting Room on the first floor at the Chatham branch.

A minimum of six people must be signed up for the program to run. For more information or to sign up, please contact the Chatham Branch Library at 519-354-2940 ext 230.
