The Chatham-Kent Children’s Safety Village will be accepting a donation cheque at the new Dowler- Karn location tomorrow at 10am. The funds were raised from an open house BBQ held at Dowler-Karn this past summer. Dowler-Karn has doubled the donation by choosing to match the amount raised.

Dowler-Karn Limited partnered with J & D Cooper Oil Limited in February 2009. Dowler-Karn Limited is a distributor of gasoline, diesel, propane and lubricants for use in farm, industry and home heat. A reseller of quality ESSO products, they maintain a head office in St. Thomas, Ontario with branches in Chatham, Sarnia, St. Marys, Tillsonburg, Norwich and London. The company currently employs approximately 100 people.

The Safety Village is a registered charity that provides free safety and injury prevention programs to youth from all 23 communities in Chatham-Kent. Programming includes farm and ATV safety, bicycle and road safety, water and ice safety, fire safety, CPR basics/role of EMS, and electrical safety and conservation.
