New delegates for the Kent Federation of Agriculture

The Kent Federation of Agriculture (KFA) held their Regional meeting Wed. August 18th at Roesch Meats and more. This year’s guest speakers were Doug Aspinall and Earl Pollock from OMAFRA speaking on Soil Classification maps.

Elections were also held for the Policy Advisory Council and for delegates to attend this year’s Ontario Federation of Agriculture’s Annual convention. The following are the results:

Kent Northwest: (Camden, Dover, Chatham)

Kent Southwest: (Raleigh, Tilbury E., Romney)

Delegates: Leon Leclair, Rachel Christensen

Kent East: (Zone, Orford, Howard, Harwich)

PAC: Louis Roesch

Delegates: Alice Uher, Bill Parks, Mike Vannieuwenhuyze

Alternate: Lynn Girty, Kathy Delanghe

The three Policy Advisory Councilors will represent Chatham-Kent over the next year and the 9 delegates will attend the upcoming OFA convention in Toronto later this fall.
