Amazing Talent at Wheatley Idol

The 7th Annual Wheatley Idol was held on Sunday August 1 at Two Creeks Conservation Area during the Fish Festival weekend. Approximately 325 people came out to the largely anticipated Wheatley Idol competition, which got underway on a perfect weather day.

12 winners in the four categories received Sponsored Cash Prizes, Gifts & Award Plaques Overall Winner, 19-year-old Jennifer Morin of Wheatley received the ultimate grand prize; a star-studded Recording Package provided by Sponsors valued at over $1,000. Jennifer, Overall winner received an invitation to sing Fri. Aug. 6 as a guest singer at the Comber Fair- Western Fair Preliminaries.

• Ages 6-9: 1st: Summer Ellis-Essex; 2nd: Amy Van Klaveren-Petrolia

• Ages 10-12: 1st: Hope Forman-Leamington; 2nd: Hannah Renaud-Kingsville; 3rd: Judy Wiebe -Wheatley

• Ages 13-16: 1st: RJ Latter-London; 2nd: Brandon Zuccato-Woodslee; 3rd: Susie Tweney-Belle River

• Ages 17-29: 1st: Jennifer Morin-Leamington; 2nd: Sam Neufeld Dick -Leamington; 3rd: Justin Zuccato-Woodslee
