The village of Erieau hosted what was the first edition of Art on the Boulevard & Home & Cottage Tour on Saturday July 31.
Over 35 artists gathered along the 1kilometer long boulevard to display their pieces. Many painters showcased their original work, as well as photographers, jewelry makers, stained glass artists and potters.
2 pavilions offered a welcome touch of music thanks to local musicians performing live throughout the day.
Erieau’s restaurants were taken by storm by the hundreds of visitors looking for a quick lunch.
This first edition is definitely the beginning of a new tradition in the quaint village of Erieau.

Art on the Boulevard in Erieau, Festival of Porches and Verandahs in Ridgetown, CK on the Edge in Chatham – all great multiple discipline art events with music, arts and crafts, poetry, etc – and just as important, lots of comments in the comment column here.
What a change from a few years ago when there was very little attention paid to the arts. And all three of these art events is new.
Better than a place on a monopoly board.

This was a great event and we were impressed with the professionalism of the co-ordinators. The attendance of both the vendors and the visitors was greater than imagined. We hope they make this a yearly event…..

It is a great setting for a mid summer event – I hope to return next year. The artists were all friendly and eager to share information about thier work.
