Chatham-Kent Teachers and Principals can now book their Grade 6 and Grade 5/6 classes for safety education programming at the Children’s Safety Village, located in C.M. Wilson Conservation Area.

Chatham-Kent Police will address Internet Safety and Cyber Proofing, Chatham-Kent Paramedics will teach Basic First-Aid and the role of the paramedic, and C-K Farm Safety Association will focus on ATV, lawnmower and farm safety. All programs presented are set as per the Ontario School Curriculum guidelines.

Hundreds of Canadian children die from preventable injuries each year. Thousands are hospitalized and suffer life-altering debilitating injuries. Providing children with preventative education is the key to keeping them safe.

This service is free of charge thanks to the many sponsors and donors who care about the personal safety training of the youth of Chatham-Kent. Bookings are based on a first come first serve basis and programs run from January 11 to February 19, 2010.

Call 519-360-1270 or visit www.cksafetyvillage.org to book your class or for more information.
