Blenheim splits weekend games; Wallaceburg beats Mooretown

The Blenheim Blades picked up a win and a loss over the weekend in Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League action.

Blenheim lost to Kingsville on Saturday (Dec. 12) by a score of 7-5.

Tyler Clarke scored twice for the Blades in the losing effort.

The Blades rebounded on Sunday night however, beating the Alvinston Flyers 8-5.

Brady Campbell and Thomas Innes each scored twice, while Clarke, Alex Seguin, Aaron Blonde and Mark Hazeleger scored singles for the club.

Goalie Dylan Vanderpol made 22 saves in the loss.

The Blades are now 6-21-0 on the year, last in the North Division.

Blenheim will face off against Wheatley tonight (Dec. 14) at the Wheatley Memorial Arena.
