Blenheim beats Alvinston 6-4 in Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League action

The Blenheim Blades jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead on Sunday night (Nov. 8) in Blenheim, and ended up hanging on to a 6-4 win over the visiting Alvinston Flyers.

The Blenheim offence was out in full force during the game, firing 58 shots on net, in comparison to Alvinston who had 26.

Taylor Phillips scored twice for the Blades and Andrew Coulson, Thomas Innes, Alex Seguin and Tyler Clarke also scored for Blenheim as well.

Goalie Zack Knudsen made 22 saves for the win.

The win improves Blenheim’s record to 4-14-0, last in the North Division.

The Blades will host Dresden on Saturday, Nov. 14, in their next game.

The puck drops at 6:15 p.m.
