Chatham-Kent offers online answer for tenders, quotations and request for proposals

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent now has an online a subscription service for Tenders, Quotations and Request for Proposals. Vendors of goods and services can now have municipal project notices e-mailed right to them, without having to search the municipal website for current projects themselves or wait for notices to be mailed.

“The more efficient the process is, the more benefit for everyone,” said Jennifer Scherle, Purchasing Officer for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. “This online service helps vendors to prepare their submissions in a timely way, and that means more effective competition among them for contracts to supply the municipality. In turn, that helps to improve the quality of supplies and to lower costs. Ultimately, citizens benefit both as taxpayers and as users of municipal services.”
