Pets of the week from the OSPCA

My name is Erie and I’m a good dog. I am a majestic black with brown 2 year old German Shepherd mix. I was discovered near the lake which is now my namesake.

I am truly a pussycat in dog’s clothing. I am so sweet and affectionate and so very gentle. I am quiet, gentle and exceptionally well-mannered. I know a number of commands, I walk remarkably well on a leash and I am very eager to please.

I would like nothing better than to be adopted by a nice family who will commit to me forever, in return I promise to be the best dog ever! I have been vaccinated and given Revolution for total parasite control.

I have also been temperament tested, using the “SAFER” method. My adoption package includes being tested for heartworm, microchipped (with free monitoring by 24 Petwatch) and being neutered. Libby is shy to start until she really gets to know you. When she first goes to her adoptive home, she will likely want to hide for a couple of days until she figures out where all the great hiding places are!

She’ll make a great spy for you and will be able to tell you all about what happened while you were away at work. Once she settles in with you, she will love to spend time on your lap, lying in the sun or chasing the occasional toy.

She has a short coat with pale grey tabby markings. Libby has been vaccinated and dewormed and will receive Revolution for total parasite control. She will be spayed and microchipped (under the 24PetWatch plan). She also comes with 6 weeks of free limited Ontario SPCA Pet Insurance.
