Wheatley Idol results, Jessica Woodhouse the overall winner

Wheatley resident and organizer of the 6th annual Wheatley Idol Darla Janzen said she was happy with the outcome of the annual event, which was held at the Two Creeks Conservation Area.

The winner of the overall competition was 18-year-old Stratford resident Jessica Woodhouse.

“A wonderful event enjoyed by a good audience and everyone involved,” Janzen said. “Approximately 350 people came out to the largely anticipated Wheatley Idol competition, which got underway on a perfect weather day. MC Dustyn Janzen, Country afternoon 92.7 CJSP radio host kept everyone entertained and well informed throughout the event.”

Janzen also commended the celebrity judges for making some “tough” decisions during the competition.

“Celebrity Judges Cordell Green, Crystal Gage, and James Staley had a tough job with so much amazing talent to choose from picking the top three in each age category,” she said.
