The PURE Academy for the Performing Arts is proud to present Disney’s High School Musical on Stage.
This live stage show is PURE’s debut musical theatre production. The cast of the show includes some of the most talented young performers from the Chatham-Kent area.
The lead performers in the production have been meeting for eight hours daily in the PURE Academy’s groundbreaking Summer Musical Theatre Program, which is taught by professionals in the performing arts including producer and singing coach Rachel Schwarz, director Jessica Smith, choreographer Jenna Charron, and acting coach Paul Schwarz.
The whole cast, including leads and the chorus, is made up of over thirty local young singers, actors and dancers who are dedicating precious summer hours to this show because of their love of theatre – and especially their love of High School Musical.
The lead players in the show are as follows: Kyle Gardiner, Madison Desbiens, Heather Kosik, Kyle Drouillard, Braedon McMahon, Holly Capeling, Josh Enzlin, Brooklyn Roebuck, Christopher Brackett, Ryan Nauta, Kelsey Vermeersch, Paige Kosik, Kayla Adrian, Libby Lacina and Lindsay Noordam.
Disney’s High School Musical has been a cultural phenomenon, first as a made-for-TV movie, then skyrocketing to success as people fell in love with its light-hearted and uplifting story, and with its unforgettable cast of characters. The stage show is an adaptation of the movie and is fast-paced, funny and high-energy, leaving the audience with the irresistible urge to sing and dance along with the cast.
The PURE Academy for the Performing Arts is the first and only performing arts academy in Chatham-Kent, offering a full range of instruction in the performing arts from ages 1 to adult. To learn more about PURE and its exciting programs and facilities, visit www.pureacademy.ca.
