Upcoming speakers for Chatham-Kent Kiwanis Golden K

miApril 30 Kiwanis Eastern Caribbean and Canada division Governor Sheron Cameron Dunn, from Kingston Jamaica, will inform the members about developments and projects sponsored by this division for this year, including the AIDS project which is a medical plan assisting pregnant women with AIDS to ensure that their babies are born AIDS- free.

She will also tour the projects sponsored by both Chatham Kiwanis Club and Golden K Club which include the Kiwanis Bandshell (which is slated to undergo renovations and possibly additions), the Kiwanis Theatre, and the Kingston Park Playground.

May 7 Monique Tatsu from Caleb Village will bring information about Chatham’s newest retirement community, of great interest to members of Golden K, most of whom are retired and looking for possibilities for their elder years. A tour of the facilities wil begin at 9:30 a.m.

May 21 Janet Bernueuter from Dickens Fellowship will explain the twinning of Chatham Kent with Chatham, England regarding the works of Charles Dickens.

All programs are held at the Chatham Cultural Center beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the exception of May 7.
